This was a heart card that I tried.
It was a little while before I realized that this flower was a process called quilling.
So then I wanted to learn some more about it and went to the Paper Flourish store fairly new in my area in Adelaide and took a lesson. My first card was done in class and I took it home and added to it. I am not one to stick to direct instructions. Not sure if that is good or bad as my mum often believes I overdo!
This second one I did all by myself and my married son, a father himself now, just loved it! He thought I should only make these. Nah, I love all sorts of creating but was certainly pleased I succeeded here.
I have discovered many tutorials via YouTube and I want to try so many of them.
This card I believe is a cascading card that I tried.
This card I made after gaining an envelope punch board from Stampin Up and discovered that one could make bows with it as well as envelopes and boxes etc. So I got to practicing and made bows for my Adelaide grand-daughters. Then I had to many bows so decided to put them on cards and came up with this idea. I only photographed this one. The others all went to new homes quite quickly.
I love paper bits and color but am not always good at putting the two together but always keep trying.
One was with bricks. Still need more practice though.
I found an Easter Stamp Set with Dies at Paper Flourish and had to try them.
As always I go overboard, but I am getting better at the inside decorating of a card.
I actually used a Project Life journal card from a stack I bought in Melbourne, from Spotlight.
I simply folded one in half to make a small card.
I also partially die cut the top half of the card to create a pop up Easter Egg and then decorated it all.
My triangle experiments. Trying also to create manly cards.
Then Easter came around so I added the Easter Tags.
However my son thought a lot of my cards were bland in color.
So I added more to this one to brighten it up a bit and gave it to him.
I also had made a similar one for my Whyalla daugher and son-in-law.
I tried to make the inside of each of the cards different with varying triangle layouts.
Bagello Cards. More paper pieces and color.
Still need more practice with these as well.
